Entry Hill House

Client: Curo

Location: Bath

Description of Work: Lighting Upgrade

Contract Duration: June 2014

Background:

Curo is a not-for-profit housing and support organisation based in Bath, providing affordable homes, care and support services across the West of England. They manage 12,000 homes and are building around 300 new homes every year.

Scope:

We were asked by Curo to assess some lighting within the main stairwell of Entry Hill House in Bath which needed replacing. The building is an old Victorian property which was converted to flats by Curo and was first listed back in 1975. The replacement lights had to be specially selected to ensure they would be aesthetically pleasing and fit in with the buildings architecture. The lights that were ordered were specially designed for the building which we then installed in the property.

Some of the light fittings were in the stairwell which required scaffolding and we also replaced much of the surface wiring which was on show. The work was completed in one day to ensure minimal disruption to the resident’s.
