High Flying Steph

On a cloudy Saturday in April Saturday Steph Hewis, Administration Manager for Wessex Response, harnessed her fear (and herself to an instructor!) before jumping out of a plane a 15,000 FT.

Having got her feet firmly back on terra firma, brave Steph, who was raising money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, said “WOW…..What an experience I LOVED every second of it.  For me the best bit was the actual jumping out of the plane and a full minute of freefall at 125mph before the parachute was deployed. People are still sponsoring me but at the last count my total stood at a huge £770”

Wessex Staff nominate and vote for a charity to support each year and this year they chose Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. Steph’s amazing achievement brings the total monies raised so far to more than £5,000.
