Small Works Administrator - Wessex Fire and Security - Shaftesbury

Wessex Fire & Security are a family run company based in Dorset, with over 30 years' experience in the Fire & Security business both in domestic and commercial settings. We are looking for an administrator to join our Service team.

Based at our head office in Shaftesbury, you will be liaising with engineers and customers to ensure we exceed our clients' expectations. This nature of this role requires a focussed individual with a high attention to detail and the ability to multi task. Reporting to the Customer Service and Administration Manager, you will be raising engineer’s documentation before a job commences and completing the administration process, including certification at the end of a job.

Main Duties & responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that our small works jobs are raised and checked in a timely manner.
  • Checking and completing jobs on the system.
  • Invoicing jobs that are completed.
  • Raising certification and system Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Scanning, storing, updating and saving records.
  • Liaising with the Sales Admin team to ensure the smooth transfer of orders from the Sales to small works departments.
  • Liaising with the other members of the Small works department and Service Department to ensure the smooth transition of work from small works into Service.

Essential competencies:

  • Previous administration experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively to meet targets.
