Roofer/Groundwork Multi-Trade Operative - Bournemouth/Salisbury - Wessex Response

Wessex Response is a family run company based in Dorset for over 50 years. We are seeking an experienced a qualified Roofer / Multi-Trade on a permanent contract to work on a repairs and maintenance contract.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Expected to undertake a full range of bricklaying/roofing repairs, maintenance and installation works.
  • Interlocking and plain roofing tiles of all types including roofing felt and battens
  • Vertical hanging tiles
  • Flashing and valley guttering etc.
  • Pointing work
  • Flat roofing repairs (No hot works, hot works for torch on felt)
  • Cover out of hours call out rota

Multi skilled Works

  • Expected to undertake a full range of carpentry repairs; maintenance and installation works.
  • Fencing of all types
  • External cladding
  • Fascia and soffit boarding
  • Gutter replacement and repairs
  • Minor brickworks repairs
  • Patio slabs
  • Ground works

This list of responsibilities and duties is not exhaustive and the Company will expect you to perform other duties relevant to the job title.

Essential competencies:

  • Experience in Roofing, Fencing, Groundworks
  • Flexible working hours/ Travel
  • ICT Literate
  • Valid UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience in Brickwork/Slabbing
  • PDA knowledge
  • Basic understanding of NMHF Schedule of Rates
  • Previous experience of working within the Social Housing sector

Remuneration:

  • Salary dependent experience (42.5 hours per week)
  • 22 days holiday (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays
