Voids Supervisor - Wessex Response - Shaftesbury

Wessex Response is a family run company based in Dorset for over 50 years. We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Void Supervisor on a permanent basis to work on a repairs and maintenance contract. 


Main duties & Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Void Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of direct operatives and sub-contractors, you will oversee both the day to day operations and the commercial aspects of the job through ensuring budgets are being met at all times and minimizing commercial risks. You will build and maintain solid working relationships with our client surveyors.


Essential Competencies:

  • Previous experience of working on responsive repair & Void contracts for a Housing Association, Local Authority or Contractor.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and think on your feet. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working with SOR's (Schedule of Rates). 
  • Experience in inspecting and snag works.

Desirable:

  • Trade Background
  • Valid SMSTS/SSSTS certificate
  • Asbestos awareness/UKATA/NLAW

Remuneration:

  • Salary dependent on experience
  • 42.5 hours per week plus rotational on call manager duties
  • 22 days holiday (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays
