Job title: Domestic Solar Electricians/Approved Electricians
Salary: Based on JIB rates and experience/skills
Hours of work: Basic hours of work are 42.5 per week.
Job Description:
Due to continual growth and a strong pipeline ahead, we are looking to recruit for additional electricians/approved electricians to undertake predominantly domestic and smaller commercial solar PV and battery storage installations. Although it would be beneficial for applicants to have previous experience in this sector, training will be provided where required. Our core operating areas are Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, and Somerset.
These works will include, but are not exclusive to:
- Installation of solar PV inverter electrical circuits
- Installation of varying size battery storage
- Upgrades to existing installations where required.
- Working alongside our other teams (including solar roofers)
- Working with other members of our Electrical team
- Testing and commissioning of solar and battery storage installations
- Assisting with solar surveys and designs

Basic Competencies:
- Experience working as a fully qualified Electrician.
- Experience working in occupied and unoccupied properties.
- A knowledge and understanding of health & safety regulations.
- The ability to plan and organise where required.
Essential Competencies
A Fully qualified Electrician accredited with the following (or equivalent): –
- A completed electrical apprenticeship
- City & Guilds 236 (part 1 and 2)
- A valid driving licence and the ability to drive a company van and comply with the requirements of the company insurers.
- A knowledge and understanding of health & safety regulations.
Desirable Competencies
- Previous experience installing solar PV and battery storage (training provided where needed)
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition)
- City & Guilds 2391 (inspection & testing)
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience of using mobile working devices (PDA’s & mobiles)
