Meet The New Apprentices

Our new cohort of apprentices have been with us for a little over a month now. Everyone has been such help making them feel welcome them in their first few weeks, so a massive thank you to their mentors! Let’s learn a bit about their journey.

Korben

Korben grew up around multiple family members working in different trades. Becoming an electrician sparked an interest with him. He hopes to become a highly skilled electrician and to continue his career with Wessex Electricals.

Korben is a hard worker and enjoys a challenge, he is looking forward to fault finding as he finds a sense of accomplishment when finding a solution to a problem.

He felt that an apprenticeship would benefit in his journey to becoming an electrician as you learn while working. He chose Wessex as he was interested in the large range of works that we carry out as a company and there would be lots to learn!

Once qualified, Korben hopes to continue his career and become an approved electrician!

Aiden

Aiden joined Wessex Electricals because he was interested in the development of modern sustainable technologies to reduce environmental impact.

An apprenticeship appealed to Aiden with its focus towards on-the-job learning, backed up with the weekly college days for the theoretical studying.

Aiden is looking forward to working on all kinds of sites and different types of electrical disciplines. He is also excited about the hands-on experience and practical electrician skills he will learn over the years, all vital parts of becoming a fully qualified electrician.

He looks forward to progressing his career with Wessex Electricals.

Marley

Having completed and passed all his exams last year on the Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation, Marley wanted to use his knowledge to his advantage and join the apprenticeship scheme to become an electrician.

He chose Wessex as he was keen to provide excellent customer service whilst working on larger scale commercial projects and residential homes. Marley is committed to giving 100% as an electrical apprentice and start his journey to be a qualified electrician. He is looking forward to working for Wessex Electricals and gaining a variety of skills and experience.

Marley wants to learn about upgrading heating systems, electrical inspections and he hopes to demonstrate that he is keen to learn and show the skills to become an exceptional electrician.

Ollie

From a young age, Ollie has always been interested in hands on work and took inspiration from a family member who was an engineer.

After attending college for 2 years, he felt that an apprenticeship was the only way forward. He came to Wessex to learn all areas of becoming an electrician and had heard a lot about the company.

Ollie plans to tackle all challenges and gain a vast field of knowledge so he can become a successful electrician. He hopes to develop good working relationships with his colleagues through his apprenticeship journey.

Joe

Joe has always enjoyed construction and the problem-solving scenarios. He enjoys practical work and becoming an electrician was a real interest.

Joe thought an apprenticeship would benefit him more with its hands-on learning and he chose Wessex as we are a large company with a good reputation.

Joe is looking forward to visiting different sites and gaining experience with the tools and seeing what challenges come along the way. He is excited to develop his confidence and hopes to become a qualified full-time electrician.

Good luck to all of our new apprentices!
