Wessex Electricals have installed a huge 94 kWp system, with a total of 376 panels at Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
The system is part of a large project for the new Jigsaw building designed for women’s health; it will bring together oncology, haematology, gynaecology, breast care and early pregnancy in two new units.
As part of the planning conditions for this building, the hospital had to offset a certain amount of it carbon emissions by installing a large PV system.
Thomas Mortimer from Wessex Group attended site with Worldwise and it was discovered that the best site for the panels would be on the hospital’s existing roof.
