Wessex Fire & Security Competition – Terms & Conditions

By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions:

1. The prize draw is open to entrants 18 years of age and over and is only open to UK entrants located in Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire or Hampshire.
2. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
3. The prize draw is free to enter.
4. To enter the prize draw, follow the instructions as specified on the social posts.
5. The prize is supply and installation of an Ajax Hub 2, 1 no DoorProtect S, 3 no MotionProtect S, KeyPad Touchscreen, StreetSiren DD, HomeSiren S and 3 no tags.
6. The competition will end at midnight on Thursday 9th January 2025.
7. The winner will be drawn at random and only one winner will be picked from either Facebook or Instagram. This competition is running across Facebook and Instagram. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
8. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
9. The winner will be contacted via Facebook Messenger or Instagram Messenger by the respective Wessex Fire & Security account. The decision of Wessex Fire & Security regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner announcement

10. The winner will be notified after 9am on Monday 13th January 2025.
11. Wessex Fire & Security will attempt to contact the winner by direct message up to two times.
12. If the winner does not respond to the direct message notifying them of their win within 7 days of the second message, they will lose their right to the prize, and Wessex Fire & Security reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.

Receipt of the prize

13. Wessex Fire & Security will arrange with the winner for the prize to be installed in their property during normal working hours Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, no allowance is made for out of hours or weekend working patterns. Record of their address will then be deleted.
14. Wessex Fire & Security require internet access at the property to activate the system’s full features and app usage. This must be supplied free of charge by the customer and available to Wessex Fire & Security at installation.
15. The winner must have permission to have the system installed at their premises if they are not a homeowner and Wessex Fire & Security accept no responsibility or liability for ensuring this permission has been granted. It is the winner’s responsibility to arrange and agree this, as required.

Data protection and publicity

16. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by Wessex Fire & Security for the purposes of administering the prize draw.
17. An announcement of the winner’s first name or social media account name will be made via Wessex Fire & Security’s social media pages.

Limitation of Liability

16. Wessex Fire & Security does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize, save that Wessex Fire & Security does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury as a result of its own negligence.
17. Wessex Fire & Security does not provide any form of practical or IT support for this prize. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to warranty and the product are that of the prize winner.

General

18. Wessex Fire & Security reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
19. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
