The Warm Front scheme is a government funded initiative designed to improve the living conditions of vulnerable people living in cold, damp and energy inefficient houses.
Wessex Electricals is a long standing Warm Front partner and has installed thousands of gas and electric heating systems under this initiative since 2001.
Gordon Green, Director of Wessex, explains “The tendering and quality vetting process is extremely rigorous and we were delighted to be awarded a further 2 year contract. This is now one of our largest ongoing contracts, keeping more than 20 of our local electricians and plumbers very busy installing and upgrading gas & electric heating systems, including boilers and electric storage heating”.
The value of the contract is worth approximately £2 million per year for Wessex to install and upgrade gas central heating systems, boiler upgrades and for the installation of electric storage heating.
The Warm Front Scheme has helped nearly two million households since it was introduced, making homes warmer and more energy efficient providing savings of up to £300 a year on energy bills.
