Rob recently fitted a Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) fan at Upper Back Way, Shrewton.
This resident is house proud but suffering from mould issues. She cleans the mould daily to keep the property tidy.
We trialled a PIV mounted in the hallway. The idea is that these suck air from the loft through filters and pump a constant flow of air into the property to increase air pressure. This forces air movement, and the extraction removes wet stale air.
It’s early days but feedback from the resident so far is that she believes this has made a noticeable improvement to the issues.
These PIV come in 2 options: blowing cold air or with a small heater element. We opted for the heated option as it will ensure in the colder months the edge is taken off the chilly air.
