Client: Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Poole
Description of Work: CCTV Installation
Background:
Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is an acute general hospital. It was named the safest hospital in the UK in the 2009 CHKS Patient Safety Awards, and the services the hospital provides have been rated as ‘excellent’ by the Care Quality Commission. These include emergency care, maternity services, cancer care and specialist surgery, as well as care and treatment for children.
Scope:
With such a large and complex security system Wessex Fire & Security are routinely on site and on call to support this prestigious and important site 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
Working within a very busy environment and large number of different departments provides a great challenge in coordinating the planned works as well as and dealing with the reactive requirements in order to ensure that the hospital remains secure and functioning at all times.
The CCTV installation within the hospital car park has drastically reduced the level of car crime and enabled the hospital to be awarded a nationally recognised ‘secure car park award’.
Clive Radstock – Facilities Manager said “Wessex Fire & Security are an excellent and most reliable security provider to our hospital. Our demands and requirements demand that efficiency and timely management of planned maintenance as well as reactive work is of paramount importance. We enjoy an enviable one call contact relationship and they are also very cost competitive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them as a security provider.”
